Count Your Blessings

This has been a crazy year for all of us. One that has taken us on quite a rollercoaster ride!

The crazier things get, the more grounded we need to be. There has been an enormous amount of negative energy all around the world, affecting everyone. It’s never been more important to focus on all things positive.

Seems like too much to ask? It’s really not. Start simple. Give yourself at least five minutes a day of taking yourself to a happy memory and focus on your breathing while you visualize that memory. Maybe it’s walking on the beach, or playing with the kids. Or maybe it’s traveling to a special place. Just breathe! Feel your heart lighten, feel the difference in your posture.

If you still can’t get there try changing into a nice comfy robe, make a nice cup of tea, (chamomile, pumpkin spice or cinnamon) and really relax. Take out a journal or plain paper and write down your feelings with an attitude of gratitude. Don’t focus on the negative. Just write down positive thoughts and feelings.

Even if it’s just the fact that you were able to get out of bed. Start anywhere and focus on even the smallest things that can make you smile. It’s especially important now and can even boost your immune system.

Feeling better? Now give yourself a hug. That’s the idea! Now go give someone else a hug and tell them something positive. Spread the good feelings!

It’s the right thing to do when counting your blessings.

Be Well,

Tana
