Stress Less and Stay Well
Let’s all really enjoy the holidays this year. And to make that a little easier here are a few tips.
Take deep breaths and focus on happy thoughts. Spend time with family and friends. Don’t forget some quality “me time” too. It simply takes some creative planning because the more organized you are, the less you stress and you allow your creative inner child to be creative and have fun. We all know the more you laugh the happier and healthier you’ll be.
Do some meditating. It’s not hard at all and you can do it anywhere. It costs nothing and will help to recharge your batteries. Just take a few minutes to close your eyes and focus on deep steady breathing. Then imagine blowing up a bunch of colorful balloons. Grab a handful of them and let them go. Feel them lift away. If you need some help we have some CD’S here at the spa that can help guide you.
Take time for some tea. With the chilly nights we are having now a good cup of Chamomile tea will help relax you. Peppermint tea will give you an energy boost without the caffeine and Cinnamon tea will get you in the holiday spirit while being good for your kidneys. Boil Cinnamon sticks on the stove and your home will smell great.
Call and schedule a massage. If you’re low on energy I can help. If you tend to shop ‘til you drop or have a sore shoulder from carrying too many bags, get in to see me. Again, I can help. After thirty years of doing massage (and loving it) not only can I give you a boost of energy but I can soothe your soles.
Exercise by walking and stretching. Stay moving to help with circulation and stretch to help reinforce your joints. Lack of movement results in tight sore muscles and the more you move the better you’ll feel and the better you feel the more you’ll move.
Eat right. It’s hard to eat perfect foods all the time but if you plan ahead you can prepare snacks that help you stay energized and keep you from going to a drive through.
Get plenty of sleep. There is a reason that they call it beauty sleep. Your body needs time to re energize. Even your cell phone needs to be recharged or the batteries run down. Lay down and relax. Listen to relaxing music and put some Lavender Essential Oil on a tissue in your pillowcase. Breathe deep and let yourself drift away. Get yourself ready for tomorrow...tomorrow. For now it’s time to rest.
Take care of yourself. Your health is very, very important.
Be well and stay well,
Tana
